Privacy Policy - Phone Battery Complication

Last Updated: August 25, 2026

Privacy Ethos

This app is designed as a direct helper utility to display your phone battery, watch battery, calendar events, media playback, and phone notifications directly on your watch face via Wear OS complications. We believe your device status is personal. Our core principles are:

Data Access & Permissions

The following permissions and services are used to synchronize and display device status, calendar events, active media, and notification information:

Permission / Service App Scope Usage & Purpose Feature Powered
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED Mobile & Wear App Allows the application/complication service to automatically re-initialize battery and data synchronization tasks when the device boots up. Automatic background sync on boot.
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES Mobile App Because the app doesn't know in advance which apps will post notifications or play media, it cannot use the more restrictive <queries> element (which requires listing specific package names). This permission is the only way to ensure full compatibility with all third-party apps on newer Android versions. Notification & Media sync compatibility.
READ_CALENDAR Mobile App Accesses local calendar events to enable syncing of event-based details to the watch complications (if enabled). Next Event complication.
NotificationListenerService (Notification Access) Mobile App Allows the companion application to read active notifications and active media session metadata from the phone status bar to transmit them to your watch. Phone Notifications & Media Playback complications.
Google Play Services (Wearable API) Mobile & Wear App Establishes a local communication channel to transfer battery levels, calendar events, media states, and notification data between devices. Real-time complication synchronization.

Data Sharing & External Services

All core synchronization operates entirely between your own paired devices. The only external service present in the app is optional diagnostics:

Crash Reporting & Diagnostics (Optional)

To help improve application stability and diagnose bugs, the app contains optional crash reporting integrations:

Firebase Crashlytics (Google) Privacy Policy
Disabled by default. If you explicitly opt-in to crash reporting in the app settings, Crashlytics will transmit anonymous crash logs, stack traces, and basic device characteristics (such as OS version and device model) to help us identify and resolve bugs. No personally identifiable information (PII) or location data is ever included in these reports.
Google Play Data Safety Declarations:
  • Data Types: Crash logs & Device or other IDs.
  • Collected, Shared, or both? Collected only (not Shared, as Google/Firebase processes this data solely on our behalf).
  • Ephemeral Processing: No (Firebase stores crash logs and installation IDs on its servers for analysis).
  • User Choice: Users can choose whether this data is collected (collection is completely optional and controlled by an in-app toggle).
  • Purpose of Collection: App functionality and/or Analytics.

Data Storage & Retention

No Data Sale

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties. We do not track your device behavior or usage patterns.

User Rights & Control

You have full control over the sync status and options:

Children's Privacy

This app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Our services are intended for a general audience.
