Privacy Ethos
This app is designed as an independent, transparent utility. We believe your location and environmental data belong to you. Our core principles are:
- No Advertising: We do not include any ad SDKs or tracking pixels.
- No User Profiles: We do not collect names, emails, or hardware identifiers (IMEI/Serial).
- Direct Access: Weather requests are sent directly from your watch to trusted providers.
- Minimal Footprint: We only request the permissions strictly necessary to show you the weather.
Data Access & Permissions
The following system permissions are used to provide real-time weather information on your watch face.

Data Sharing & External Services
To provide accurate forecasts, your watch sends your latitude and longitude coordinates to weather providers via encrypted HTTPS requests.
Coordinate Precision: To protect your privacy, coordinates are rounded to 4 decimal places (~11 meters) prior to transmission. This prevents exact house-level tracking while maintaining forecast accuracy.

Crash Reporting & Diagnostics (Optional)
To help improve application stability and diagnose bugs, the app contains optional crash reporting integrations:
- Data Types: Crash logs & Device or other IDs.
- Collected, Shared, or both? Collected only (not Shared, as Google/Firebase processes this data solely on our behalf).
- Ephemeral Processing: No (Firebase stores crash logs and installation IDs on its servers for analysis).
- User Choice: Users can choose whether this data is collected (collection is completely optional and controlled by an in-app toggle).
- Purpose of Collection: App functionality and/or Analytics.
Data Storage & Retention
- Local Storage: All preferences and cached weather data are stored on your watch using
Android's
Jetpack DataStore. This storage is private to the app and cannot be accessed by other applications. - Retention: Cached data is automatically overwritten during every refresh. If you change your weather provider or manual location, previous data is immediately cleared.
- Uninstall: All stored data, including location coordinates and API keys, is permanently deleted by the Android system when the app is uninstalled.
- System Backups: The app respects the
allowBackup="false"flag to ensure that sensitive data like coordinates are not stored in unencrypted cloud backups.
No Data Sale
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties. There are no background services collecting your location history for marketing purposes.
User Rights & Control
You have full control over your data directly from your watch:
- Revoke Location: You can disable location access at any time via Settings > Apps > Permissions on your watch.
- Switch to Manual: You can choose a static location in the app settings, which will stop all GPS requests.
- Clear Cache: Switching providers or resetting the location in settings will wipe existing cached coordinates.
- Crash Reporting Opt-out: You can enable or disable crash reporting at any time via the application settings on your watch.
Children's Privacy
This app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Our services are intended for a general audience.
